Before the world knew it as Africa, the land was called Alkebulan— an ancient name meaning “Mother of Mankind” or “Land of the Blacks.” This name, steeped in indigenous wisdom and ancestral pride, reflects the deep spiritual, cultural, and historical significance of the continent long before colonizers ever set foot on its soil.
The name Africa itself is not native to the land or its people. It is widely believed to have been introduced by Roman and later European powers. One prominent theory attributes the renaming to Leo Africanus, also known as Africanus Sebacanius — an explorer and writer However, it was European colonization that ultimately erased "Alkebulan" from mainstream usage, replacing it with names that disconnected the people from their true roots.
Reclaiming the name Alkebulan is more than a linguistic correction — it's a powerful act of remembrance, of reconnecting to ancestral truth, and of honoring the untold stories of the world's most resource-rich and spiritually potent continent.

In this moment, light meets dark,
A union ignites the celestial spark.
The power of this ancient sight,
Reflects the truth: day follows night.
I am the mirror, I am the multiplier,
If you seek greatness,
I’m here to take you higher.
Dawn of the day, passionate amplifier.

Una hafi learn, fiyah hafi bun.
Inner sanity should be your main concern.
Reach inside your heart, ignite the spark.
Know that only good, can come out of the dark.
Out of the dark,
Out of the dark,
Know that only good, can come out of the dark.

Awakening inner bliss
An elevated vibrancy
flowing through me
Ever present force of love
Lifting me up feeling zero gravity
Delightful sensations of weightlessness
Holding this frequency
